Current Research in Egyptology Conference – CRE IX
 

The Call for Papers for CRE IX is now closed

We are pleased to announce that the next CRE graduate conference will be held at the University of Manchester from the 9th to the 11th of January 2008.

There will be 48 papers from students and others involved in graduate and independent research on Ancient Egypt and Nubia in the following topics, ranging in time from the Predynastic to the Coptic Periods:

  · archaeology
· art and architecture
· history and society
· literature and language
· religion
· museum work
· scientific analysis and conservation
· history of Egyptology and ‘Egyptomania’

Presentations will be in the following forms:

 

1) 20 minute papers
2) 10 minute brief communications

3) A0 poster presentations

Attendance at the conference is open to all.
